So the tour around the airports continues with Kastrup Airport, more familiarly known as the Copenhagen Airport, being the main airport for international flights to, from and via Copenhagen. Kastrup is a large airport but such an easy one for navigating and good for shopping too.
Getting to the airport
I really recommend the train as you get so close to the airport as you can, no outside walking or difficult changes. You can get the train f.ex. from København H (the central railway station) which is, as you easily guess, located nearby the city centre and main shopping avenues.
At the airport
Unlike Tegel Airport, this one is much more friendly for shopping as you can go shopping everywhere when arriving or leaving Copenhagen. There are all kinds of shops from the large tax free to candy, souvenirs, clothes and toys.
Even more importantly, it's quite easy to navigate around the airport. You find the different airline's check ins and security checks while there are places for eating everywhere too. Everything is done properly and professionaly but still the experience is enjoyable what comes to killing time.

Berlin: Tegel Airport
Tegel Airport (TXL) is such a big airport and divided into smaller sectors for different airlines and flights. This is why shopping out there might turn out a disaster if you're not familiar with the airport. For the pros and cons, the shopping is the main con while other things work quite okay by my experience.
Getting to the airport
I really recommend the taxi as it's just about 20 euros from the city centre. The taxi driver was really helpful checking from his data where my check in was located and drove as close as possible.
Another trip I used the underground (U-bahn) and bus. The fastest way to get close to the airport is underground. You have to take the blue line (U7) going to Rathaus Spandau (nor to Rudow if you're coming outside the city centre) and get out in Jakub-Kaiser Platz. Then you have to take a bus for one stop.
At the airport (Leaving Berlin)
When you've once done the check in and security checks, you don't get to the other parts of the airport. So you have to shop before that as the shop after was a big letdown with just some candy - no souvenirs (not saying the are usually great). The candy selection is quite poor anyway. So shop before going to check in. I did that the second time. I was still a bit disappointed with the shops when compared to airports like Oslo Gardermoen and Copenhagen Kastrup.
The caf'e wasn't great either and for bigger hunger you would leave hungry and angry. So there really weren't great reasons to come too early to the airport.
The check in can not be made very early but otherwise no problem with that. The bag drop was fine as well as the security check.
At the airport (Arriving)
Check the right room and line for getting your bag as there are several rooms. The officers don't always give you right advise so focus on what is going on. There's not much more worth to say and for getting to the city, use the advise given above (the part with title Getting to the airport).

Introduction
I'm a travel blogger from Finland. So as you might guess one of my favorite hobbies is travelling and I'd like to share some travel tips. At first I will be concentrating on Berlin and Copenhagen, two cities I've been visiting such recently. I'm gonna tell you basic facts (underground, city centre, shopping, airports, hotels, restaurants) and some random tips. Feel free to comment or ask me anything.
And for the questions you might have:
How can I find the things I'm looking for?
Use the search (my posts have key words like Berlin, shopping, hotels)
The deal/hotel/etc. doesn't exist anymore
If any info gets old, I 'll give it the key word "old" as soon as I find it out. Depending on situation I might remove the post or just update it a bit.
I have a question/tip/problem
Use the comment box on any post. I will answer you ASAP.
The mobile version doesn't work properly/has problems
Let me know so I try to fix them.
How do you get the info you tell?
Everything is based on my own trips.
Could you rate this hotel/tell about this place/etc.
Ask me and I'll find out if that's possible.
Hope you enjoy!
