Copenhagen: Kastrup Airport

So the tour around the airports continues with Kastrup Airport, more familiarly known as the Copenhagen Airport, being the main airport for international flights to, from and via Copenhagen. Kastrup is a large airport but such an easy one for navigating and good for shopping too.

Getting to the airport

I really recommend the train as you get so close to the airport as you can, no outside walking or difficult changes. You can get the train f.ex. from København H (the central railway station) which is, as you easily guess, located nearby the city centre and main shopping avenues.

At the airport

Unlike Tegel Airport, this one is much more friendly for shopping as you can go shopping everywhere when arriving or leaving Copenhagen. There are all kinds of shops from the large tax free to candy, souvenirs, clothes and toys.

Even more importantly, it's quite easy to navigate around the airport. You find the different airline's check ins and security checks while there are places for eating everywhere too. Everything is done properly and professionaly but still the experience is enjoyable what comes to killing time.
